Found this video on Youtube which briefly shows the life cycle of the dragonfly.
After almost an entire week of warm summer weather and several successful dragonfly photo expeditions, a lot of new photos have now been added to the site.
During this week I managed to get some very good photographs of four new species: Anax Imperator, Gomphus Vulgatissimus, Ophiogomphus Cecilia and Libellula Fulva. The last three actually at the same spot near the city of Silkeborg.
It was not easy to get these shots, required a lot of patience and sneaking around, but it was well worth it.
All the 54 odonata species known to be living in Denmark, or at least been sighted here, have now been added to the website.
However this does not mean that I have photographed them all yet. Actually 27 species are missing in my photo collection, so there is still a way to go. Also there are some species I have only managed to photograph very few times.
Now I am just waiting for some warm and sunny days, so that I can get out there with my camera again.
More photos of the Cordulegaster boltoni have been added after a very successful dragonfly photo expedition to the area just south of the city of Silkeborg this Sunday.
